Currents is one of the first writings of Courier. The song has gone through multiple revisions before arriving at what it is today. Lyrically it is about the struggles of life, endurance, and looking for hope in the midst of that turmoil. It combines the simple, catchy, ambient melodies with the thick down-tuned guitars, driving hardcore drum patterns, and resonating tonal screamed vocals to create a massive and unique sound.
