Karl Terkal was a steady member of the Vienna State Opera for more than three decades, and as all singers for Vienna he cultivated the art of singing - what can be called - the Opera's little sister: Operetta! Apart from the great opera roles he played Terkal was one the finest operetta singers of his time being equally succesful in the classical works of the 19th century as well as in the works of the so called "silver operetta era" in the 20th century. Our album presents a representative collection from these two epoques: from Strauß, Ziehrer and Suppé to Lehár, Stolz and Dostal. All tracks have been carefully remastered in 24 Bit High Definition.
