Twisted

Melbourne (Australia) born powerhouse vocalist Kellie Knight has been making waves in the Australian Soul and Jazz scene with her latest project "Kellie Knight and the Daze" who fuse old school funk, soul groove and catchy pop licks with songs that intertwine a conscious lyric and smoke and whisky vocal. Having spent many years traveling the globe as a solo artist, including a two year stint in Sanfransisco and half year studying vocal in India she finally settled in her home town of Byron Bay, where she enhanced her appreciation of Jazz vocal by attending the Conservatorium of Music in The Northern Rivers NSW area. Likened to artists such as Adele, Jill Scott, Joss Stone and even Janis Joplin, Kellie has performed alongside Australian Icons sun as Renee Geyer, Paul Kelly, DeFX and toured US and Australian festivals such as Michigan Wymen's festival, Byron Bay Blues Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Port Fairy Folk Festival. In early 2015 'Kellie Knight and the Daze' are set to release their debut EP, consisting of single "Twisted" a jazz infused funk tale, with tasty keys and sax solo and of course, that signature voice.
