The Suk-Trio, Vol. 1: Beethoven & Dvořák Piano Trios

The famous "Suk Trio" was one of the great Czech Piano Trios, existing for almost four decades, from 1951 to 1990. When the country was part of the former Soviet Union the ensemble received the permission to travel around the world. Wherever they played - from USA to Australia, from Europe to Asia theri interpretation of the great masterpieces of Vienna Classic was highly acclaimed. The musicians of the "Suk Trio" were regarded as ambassadors of music not only for their country but also for cultivating their national musical heritage. Playing the music of Dvorák and Smetana was a real devotion and a mission to them. Dvorák's famous "Dumky-Trio" as well as Beethoven's C-Minor and D-Major Trio (better known as the 'Ghost-Trio') can be heard on this new album. Interpretations as timeless as the music itself. Enjoy!
