Velocell
Velocell, the latest album from Everest, sees them take a step forwards from their previous album The Heimlich Maneuver - towards making the perfect pitch between oblique angled melodies, electro and digital texturing. The scattered rigid beats build up a menacing sound scape which make one think of a futuristic deconstruction of the soundtrack for Assault on Precinct 13. However you look at it, its great to hear a purely electronic record celebrating its digitality whilst referencing the birth of the electro, traversing the balanced line between seduction and experimentation.
