Hyphen
Just before the end of this year we want to unleash another Stefan Tretau joint. His previously released Kawaii EP gained massive support from all the big names out there such as Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, John Acquaviva, Derrick May, Ame, etc. Now he returns with this amazing Hyphen release. Hyphen is a bumpy techno tune perfectly suited for peak time play. It starts of with this deep 808 kick and squelchy bassline followed by this mesmerizing synth melody which teases you all the way through-out the track with its filter opening up and closing again. Strum wie doh is a sophisticated mixture of minimal and techy house. It has Minilogue-ish vybe to it. This is HOUSE with capital letters! On the b-side Tretau takes things into darker territory with Mir. A steady groove makes your feet move and those crazy minimal sounds and effects make your head spin. Inspired by Basic Channel and Deepchord but as stupendous and effective! Literon comes with a housey remix of Strumm wie doh. This is a magnificent club remix: slow, deep and captivating with beautiful chord progressions. This will appeal to lovers of Jimpsters Freerange, Anja Schneiders Mobilee and Liebe & Detail.
