All Wrapped Up in Christmas
With influences as diverse as Willie Nelson and Nancy Wilson, Pam Tillis' first holiday release, "Just in Time for Christmas", walks a fine line between down home country and uptown torch. "I just wanted to make a Christmas album as comfortable and familiar as your favorite winter sweater," she says. Following ten years of performing holiday shows, Pam Tillis found these songs had emerged as favorites for both her and her live audiences. "Silent Night," "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve," "Pretty Paper" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" are a few of the classic ingredients in Tillis holiday treat. In addition to the chestnuts, she added three new compositions that have the same familiar ring as the standards. Prone to eclecticism, Pam hung new ornaments of Rockabilly, Country, Jazz, Soul and Pop on the tree for good measure.
