Two completely different styles in one collection! Lawrence "Bud" Freeman was one of the most influential and important jazz tenor saxophonists of the big band era. He had a smooth and full tenor sax style with a heavy robust swing, and he had a very long career that lasted for almost six decades from the Twenties into the Eighties of the 20th Century. Freeman maintained a reputation for high-spirited, skillful and fluent playing, often creating his own rhythm by prodigious use of unison riffs.
