Milestones of Legends: Rudolf Kempe, Vol. 4
Rudolf Kempe (1910 - 1976) established perhaps the greatest international career of all German conductors since the 1950s. He succeeded Joseph Keilberth as head of the Staatskapelle in Dresden, conducted acclaimed performances in Bayreuth, London and New York, and made award-winning recordings with the two top European orchestras, the Vienna and the Berlin Philharmonics.
