Formed in late 2017, Dog Years formed with the mission to make hardcore that is socially aware and heavy hitting simultaneously. We are heavily influenced from bands form the 2006-2011 hardcore scene. Bands like No Warning, Terror, Guns Up!, This is Hell, and American Nightmare are few among our influences. We wish to bring this sound back to hardcore while adding influences of our own from the modern era. The lyrics are heavily influenced by the world around us and our frustration with current oppressors and abusers. It is important to address these issues in music to spread awareness and a space where even the abused and ridiculed can feel a sense of unity. -Bezan
