Beautiful Demon

The Paris Toon demo recording project, enigmatically titled, Beautiful Demon, is a portion of a life narrated by Morris Alan performed by Mothers Favorite Child. MFC is and has always been a musical collective, whimsically constructed by intuition and nurtured by divine talent. This is a movement on a mission to expose truth in sounds and words. TRUTH - minor and major, raucous and romantic, soulful and . . . spiritual. The man behind the lyrics and production is Paris Toon, producer, lyricist and composer. Paris ritualistically defaults to his gut when the time comes to gather musicians and give birth to new songs. This is the method to his rarely observed madness. Since Mothers Favorite Child is a product of this method, it is only natural that its musicians and vocalists would be chosen to provide the soundtrack to the more deeply shaded thoughts of Paris Toon, the man. The voice you hear behind Beautiful Demon is the talented Morris Alan. Morris passed unexpectedly on September 4, 2015 but will forever live in the hearts of MFC and his fans. The songs on Beautiful Demon were unfinished demos sitting on hard drives in the MFC vault. The demo project was originally to be distributed by Island/ Def Jam but shelved for years at request of Paris. He did not want the demo project being released to the public not being fully produced to his liking. Paris was not emotionally ready to finish the project with the proper respect he felt the songs deserved but after many requests from fans and seeing it being bootlegged with bad quality on the Internet he decided to leave the songs exactly as they were the last time Morris last heard. “You can’t say Mothers Favorite Child without acknowledging the letters of Morris’ name that help to spell it" says Paris Toon. The music of the Beautiful Demon project revolves around the mother of all emotions, Love. As many individuals have experienced, love can fuel so many other emotions and sensations and it can also take many shapes, sometimes making it vulnerable to misinterpretation. Lust, mistrust, admiration, honesty, intensity . . . these are all stops along the way on this journey through a human soul. This is a true Baptism by Fire by the Beautiful Demons that have sometimes surrounded us all.
