Arahova
Ready Mix Records Returns with an EP that's pure fire by our veteran whiz-kid David Kassi entitled Arahova. David Kassi's love for electronic music was apparent and started experimenting and playing with synthesizers at the tender age of 16. In 2005 and only 18 Years old, he signed his first contract with Pangea Recordings. Soon after that his talent was recognized worldwide and his tracks were flying off the shelves. David was also busy remixing tracks for Stathis Lazarides, Jesse Perrez, NTFO, Christian Paduraru among many more. Kassi's tracks have been pushed by such industry mainstays as John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Pappa, DJ Tarkan, & Tarmo Vannas just to name a few. David returns after a 4 year break away from the studio in style with this gem of a choon! 'Arahova' provides a sweet slice of modern house music heaven. Enveloping the listener in the ineffable feeling only his music can provide! Tight rhythm programming, crisp dynamic harmonies and a groove that begs to be repeated over and over again! First on remix duties comes Silt (aka Daniel Conen) who is no stranger to the label. Having provided many rocking gems in 2011 popping up on well established labels like Plastic City, Defected, Dutchie and Brown Eyed Boyz amongst many others. Silt's remix goes for a more atmospheric approach with minor synth stabs and rolling sub-baselines; for those who like it silky smooth! Next up is non-other than our head honcho/A&R and all around busy guy, BiG AL who pumps out 2 esoteric versions that will sure to set the roof off. Adding his stamp of genius and giving his hypnotic remix a sense of journey with hauntingly emotive chants and an upfront bassline while keeping the overall vibe bright & clear. He also provides a Deep Dub version for those who prefer their music chant-less. Rounding out the pack is none other than the super talented Marco Grandi (aka Madox) who kicks things up a notch with his exuberant dancefloor-certified remix that's nothing short of brilliant. Delivering heart-quenching synth stabs, muted vocal treatments and a bottom-heavy bassline that whispers the production sound which only mid 90's classic house music can provide!
