Paul Harrison was born on the 21/12/1958 in Birmingham and was raised by his working class mother and Nan. Paul spent most of his early years in the children’s hospital and at Baskerville convalescent school for sick children. His mother re marred, and his stepfather who played the guitar would be his first influence. Pauls first records bought were hot chocolate Queen and Slade. Paul worked in camera store in Dale End Birmingham. Booking in stock and taking care of repairs the shop had its own service department where equipment would be repaired. Paul would hear his major influence Tubular bells by Mike Oldfield for the first time on a repaired hi fi deck. Paul later changed his Job and worked in a metal factory sometimes coming back to the Dale End store to say hello to work mates. Next door there was a new store opening Woodroffe music. Paul would go into the store every Saturday to look at the synthesisers here he met Jezz Woodroffe. Jezz would record music in the shop on a A340 reel to reel and sell synths Paul would buy his first synthesiser a Roland 100M. Around 1981 Paul lost his Job and became unemployed it was a very depressing time but he still managed to get himself a Tascam PortaOne cassette multitrack that was paid for by handing over £15 every two weeks for two years then finally getting the recorder. Around 1986 Paul attended a music course at Solihull Collage it was totally mad times, lots of fun, I recorded some demos with Halifax Howard Brown and Trish Keenan who became successful. Paul now records his music on computers at home and has released Albums
