After Glow

Pop song Smith Jeff Morris has seen his stock rise markedly since he showcased at the East Coast Music Awards. But the Charlottetown PEI based artist has not yet achieved the level of recognition his song writing talents deserve. afterglow, Morris's latest project, could and should change that. Recorded at the Factory Studios in Vancouver this 11 song set is a well-crafted, well produced effort, that finds Morris at the top of this game churning out smart guitar-driven powerpop nuggets and Beatlesque ballads with pretty melodies and pleasing vocal harmonies. Morris's hook-laden pop songs are highly accessible and radio-friendly, and several tracks have single potential. POWER POP IS BACK in the Maritimes thanks to singer-songwriter Jeff Morris. His solo debut CD afterglow is a feast of melodic hooks, big guitars, and radio friendly tunes that recall the heyday of bands like Raspberries and Cheap Trick, along with latter day practitioners Weezer and Mathew Sweet.
