Tell ya what, press play on this ish & spend a minute learning a little more about Yung Bru. ‘Cause you don’t know much about me, yet. But, I hope you will soon.I started writing music at the age of 14, started getting into the studio a the age of 15. At 16, I met up with a local label and starting taking things more seriously. That’s when I started performing live at shows and growing a fan base. I decided music was what I was going to do at about the age of 17 and haven’t looked back. Today I have a fully operational studio were I record my own vocals, and mix and master down to the final mp3 you download. I even make the album art. I integrate style and technique elements from a lot of different artists in rap, hip-hop and beyond; but I always bring my own flavor and take it in my direction. My biggest influences are Bone Thugz & Harmony, Biggie Smalls and Eminem. Right now, I’m trying to build a foundation for the future. I’m trying to grow as an artist and also as an audio engineer. I feel the more I know about the whole process from creation to mastering to social distribution and beyond, the more I grow not only as an artist but also as a person.Pursuing all this knowledge in music and audio engineering is what is allowing me to step ahead and deliver a better live show, too. I want to be creating music that people can enjoy listening to and have a good time listening to.A lot of people feel like rap music automatically comes along with guns, drugs, gangs, etc. That’s mostly because that’s the only way it’s portrayed in the news, movies and television shows. I feel that if you’re honest, talk about yourself…the real you…then people get to decide if they like that.
