World Music Kaleidoscope

California Composer Rosalind Richards is a classically trained flutist who brings us her new album, World Flute Kaleidoscope, with cool instrumental pieces from around the world such as Celtic, Medieval, Latin, Japan, India and Bossa Nova. Rosalind's flute is featured throughout the album and soars on "Celtic Flute", dances on "Spanish Fire" and warms the heart on "Bossa Flute." You will also hear a cool, haunting Japanese piece "Japanese Zen Garden," fiery latin pieces, "Spanish Fire" and "Latin Romance." Joyful panpipes are heard in "Peruvian Panpipes" and an enchanting and mysterious medieval piece "Medieval Faire." Rosalind recently won recognition by the famous Japanese Cultural Center in Kyoto with purchase of her song "Butterfly Wings" found on her Bamboo Wind album as well as credits for music in film. Rosalind has five albums. As an expert on ethnic rhythms and song structure, Rosalind has taught World Music classes at two San Diego universities for over 10 years.Earlier, her group Ginseng played concert venues with the Frank Zappa's band, The Mothers of Invention.
