The Cynic

Indie Records LLC is pleased to announce their new release by recording artist CANE. Travel through the mind of a poet. Allow the pain inspired, heart felt words of the Grand Rapids, Michigan Native flow through your veins and find a way to your soul. “The Cynic”, a 13 track LP deals with the struggles of a single father trying to make his way in a world that has him pinned to the wall. A confident calm mixed with a frustrated anger creates a cool mix of emotions. The overall tone of the album is inspirational. CANE speaks with a voice of truth that any “everyday” person can relate to. Sadies Son of London, England and Action Jackson of Grand Rapids, Michigan produced the bulk of the album. Sadies Son, a drummer in a British rock band, brings a jazz/blues fusion over hip-hop drums begging CANE to speak with a matter of fact swagger on “236” and “My Mind”, while Action Jackson’s emotion soaked beats with grimey drums inspire “Man or Demon”, “Dancing With Death” and "Nothing". Also, producing on “The Cynic” is Carolina Heat of Columbia, South Carolina. Heat anchors the album with “Carpe Diem”, the "myspace" hit that propelled CANE into the spotlight.
