When God Calls

Born in Southern California, Toya began her musical journey at age 8. She soon discovered that God Blessed her with natural gifts for singing and songwriting. During high school, Toya was a member of the marching band, playing clarinet as well as teaching her self to play the flute. Upon graduation from college, her dream of a musical career was put on hold to raise a family. In 1992, the famil (consisting of Robert, her husband and three sons, Terrance, Taimarius and Robert III) relocated to the Las Vegas, Nevada area. Today with the support of her family, the time is right to follow her dream once again. "First and foremost, I thank God for Blessing me with the gifts of creativity. I enjoy writing, composing and singing Gospel and R&B music. People inspire me, life fulfills me and I love being me." In 2003, Toya along with her family launched an Indie Label entitled Open-Minded Records. She truly believes that "Now is the Time to Free an Open Mind with creative Songs and Music." Through guidance from God and determination, Toya compiled her debut Gospel Album titled "When God Calls". The Album, "When God Calls" sends an Inspirational message with R&B flavor, sure to feed the Spirit and soothe your Heart and Soul. "When God Calls" exclusively composed, produced, written and recorded by Toya, shows a sincere representation of her Faith, Style and Creativity. Toya's Goals is to continue spreading Love through Music Internationally with First-Time Quality. She will use City Functions, Guest Appearances, the Internet and CDBABY to further promote and distribute "When God Calls", Her debut Urban/R&B:Soul Album titled "My Songs" and future projects.
