Best Slow Jams - Volume One
This re-compilation CD qualifies as an aphrodisiac. These hard-to-find songs include forgotten gems like the late Van McCoy's "Living Together (In Sin)," a lush, romantic tune that you'll never tire of, and the soft and lovely "Chocolate Girl." "Song for Donny" is one of their signature songs, a bigger than life adaptation of Donny Hathaway's classic. Some of their trademark scat singing is featured on "Love Is Where You Find It." Member Nicholas Caldwell is responsible for many of their most popular slow jams, check out "Lady," "Say Yes," "Are You Going My Way" and the churning "Do They Turn You On," all scrumptious ditties. The memorable melody and sensuous lyrics of Babyface's "In The Mood," coupled with the amazing twin leads of Wallace and Scotty, plus the understated harmonies of Nicholas Caldwell, and Leavil Degree equals masterpiece. There was an error on the back of the CD where there are 12 songs listed, but there are two bonus tracks for a total of 14 songs.
