A World Of Music
Liner Notes This Album is dedicated to the memory of Choicie Watkins (the mother of Charles Williams-the artist) whose maiden name was Satchel. In the early years of Charles’ life – his mother bought him a guitar; a drum set and an Alto Saxophone but only the alto sax had the right sound for his state of mind. Charles loved Charlie Parker, Horace Silver, Miles, and the jazz musicians of that era and it was at this time that he met the legendary King Pleasure who helped call attention to the solos of James Moody by singing songs like “Moody’s Mood for Love” and other instrumentals that James Moody had done. King Pleasure convinced Charles Williams to find his own style in the maze of sounds that come from the jazz world. Satchel’s Entertainment is proud to Produce and Publish this Album “The World Of Music” for Charles Williams who Composed and Arranged all of the tracks.
