Lost In You
Back in 2004, Defcon's James Alexander teamed up with Pete Gawtry (better known as techno legend Pedro Delgardo) to make the track Lost In You, featuring vocals from Julie Harrington. In spite of a wide selection of remixes, the track only ever gained a white-label release, but in spite of this, still managed to become an underground hit and received widespread support. Fast forward to 2010, Defcon favourite Jamie Walker delivered his interpretation of the track for the Spring Sampler, which hit number 3 in the chart at Audiojelly and helped raise his profile even further. So now for the full release this summer, Jamie's banging remix also heads things up in case anyone missed it the first time round! John Dopping has also been turning heads of late with his exquisite brand of production, and his remix transforms Lost In You into a dark, techy monster of a track. Vocal stabs compliment his devastating bassline, delivering a late-night dancefloor destroyer. For those of a proggier persuasion, we have the Liebekx remix, courtesy of Forward resident Darzh Liebek. He turns Lost In You into a slower, chunky affair with a sublime, epic breakdown. Rounding things off is another Defcon favourite Paul Todd, who delivers a melodic, uplifting take on things, driven by a powerful bassline and soaring synths for a real hands-in-the-air effect.
