Antonym EP

With a brooding winter and moody spring behind us, we turn to our 26th release; with Marc Poppcke offering an EP exploring, what could be described as, the changing tides of these very seasons. Title track 'Antonym' is hypnotic and moody, with persistent, dirty bass bombs, perfectly contrasted with fresh, surprising bursts of melodic brilliance. We go one deeper with 'Out of Order', a rhythmically tight piece, drawing on a chugging, brooding groove to progress the track forward, while sweeping electronic elements litter the soundscape. Akin to winter turning to spring, 'Subconscious Mind' starts to lift the mood ever so slightly with its muted melodic beauty, supported with a warm bassline. Quirky, sporadic percussion and a gently swung air complete the piece. Aptly titled, 'Summer Breeze' rounds out the EP with lush melodic pads and plucks, leaving a sense of yearning for long summer days and balmy nights. Its playful, vocal melody is short but sweet, yet enough to leave a memorable taste. We trust you'll enjoy this superb EP.
