DANKE BEGAN MAKING MUSIC AT A VERY YOUNG AGE. SHE USED TO SING LITTLE MELODIES IN THE BATH AT NIGHT AND TOOK TO PLAYING PIANO AT AGE 10. NOT MUCH FOR LESSONS AND PRACTICE, SHE QUICKLY BEGAN TO CULTIVATE A SKILL FOR WRITING HER OWN MUSIC. AT AGE 14 AFTER BEING INTRODUCED TO 90s TRIP-HOP AND AMBIENT MUSIC, HER SINGER-SONGWRITER BACKGROUND BEGAN TO TAKE A NEW SHAPE. AS SHE MATURED, SO DID HER MUSICAL TASTES. EVERYTHING FROM FRANK ZAPPA'S "HOT RATS" TO ERYKAH BADU'S "MAMA'S GUN" CAN BE HEARD BLASTING FROM DANKE'S CHAMBERS. HEAVILY INFLUENCED BY MANY DIFFERENT GENRES, SETTINGS AND EXPERIENCES, DANKE'S MUSIC IS QUITE UNUSUAL. YET HER PALATABLE MELODIES, EPIC HARMONIES, UNIQUE PROGRESSIONS AND FAT BEATS MAKE HER SOUND APPEALING TO EVEN THE MOST JADED LISTENER.
