Bleeding Heart Synchronicity

"Bleeding Heart Synchronicity was composed entirely using Fruityloops roughly between the ages of 15 to 19 (2003-2007) during spontaneous bursts of inspiration, in the company of friends. Despite some opposition, I felt obligated to complete and release this album because it embodies that period of my life and the lives of everyone involved in a way that words never could. Not only that, but the spur of the moment nature in which each track was created is probably what sets it apart more than anything else. There was very little time spent alone in the studio, tediously tweaking everything to perfection; in fact, almost every song on the CD was created while it was being imagined, practically coming out of thin air in the midst of some wild house party or other social gathering. Some might complain that there wasn't enough post-production focused on making each song sound more "current," but my reason for doing this was to keep the album from being as contrived and pretentious as possible. Again, it wasn't exactly written like a traditional electronic dance music LP: it wasn't so much produced as it was "performed." There may not have been any MIDI controllers or other live instrumentation involved but the writing process for each track happened so quickly with so many people present that it was almost as if I was putting on some kind of show. Compared to the quality of the music I am writing now the age of this album seems obvious; but to this day I swear I have never been more in the moment than I was when I wrote these songs."
