A Delicate Balance

Xybor & the Cosmonauts is a distraction of Terry Atkinson, a self-absorbed, multi-instrumental musician, songwriter, producer and multimedia "artiste". The music is written, performed, engineered and produced by me. My musical influences are diverse, laced with infusions of rock, jazz, fusion, blues, bluegrass and pop. The overall sound draws heavily on progressive and psychedelic rock -- ala Beatles, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Bowie. Arrangements tend to be centered on acoustic guitar and layered vocals, with electric guitar, synth and other sounds added for emphasis. The lyrics are meant to be thoughtful and clever, usually with a social context.
