Fat Steve Productions Aka FSP, is an up an coming hip hop group based out of St. Joseph, MO consisting of Fat Steve, Money, GK, Vic MOB, Charlemagne, JamRon and Youngbird.In 2007 Steven Vest established Fat Steve Productions in Blue Springs, MO. The production company was started on a small karaoke machine in his mothers basement, Freestyle rapping put over mainstream beats lead to the first mixtape "Hand & Foot". After seeing small success selling the tape at school Steve decided to create his own home studio. After purchasing a mic, Steve and his friends Max Wharton (Maxamillionaire), Ross Taylor (Lil Froggy), Justin Romstad (J Money),Eric Silkwood (E-Silk) and Eric Winkler (Winky) joined forces to create the second Fat Steve Productions mixtape "Fat Steve, The King". In 2007 after graduating high school and the release of "The King Steve, Eric Silkwood (E-Silk) and Clayton Whitworth (C-Weezy) founded the group "The Suburban White Knights" After the groups release of a few solo tracks Steve moved to St. Joseph MO and the group went their own ways.In 2008 Steve Met up with Brett Guthery (B-Gut) and Derrick Mcphearson (Charlemagne) the three released the single track "Phi Sig Poppin" on the internet. The single featured TI's "Big **** Poppin" instrumental on which the three promoted their fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa. The song skyrocketed to over 6,000 youtube views in just a few weeks, However the single was taken off of youtube due to raw and offensive content. Later that year those three met up with Victory Greenlee (Vic MOB) and Nick Merrill (GK) to begin work on a new album "In Tha Joe". Justin Romstad (Money) was also featured on the album working on songs such as "Ish Man" and "Not likely". Singles such as "I'm feelin fine", "Cold as ice", and "Flippin money" were played on a radio station called Riverfront Radio based out of St. Louis MO. This was the Fat Steve Productions first taste of commercial success, building off that the individuals continued writing and imporving their music.2010 became the start of FSP (Formerly Fat Steve Productions) as a group, and no longer individuals under one label. The group consisted of Steve Vest (Fat Steve), Justin Romstad (Money) , Victory Greenlee (Vic MOB), Derrick Mcphearson (Charlemagne), Nicholas Merrill ( GK) also adding member Jamar Williams (JamRon). The group started working on their next project entitled "Hits On The daily" The fusing of these six personalities led to a wide range of fans and an undeniable chemistry on the tracks. The group released a free online mixtape titled "R.A.W. Reaching Another World" which introduced a whole new group of fans to FSP. Still working on the "Hits on the daily album" and releasing countless free tracks on youtube and facebook the group began gaining more momentum. Booking shows, recording and branching out with other local artists all independently helped FSP to be a household name around the St. Joseph and Blue Springs area. While finishing up work on their next album the group added the newest and final member of FSP, Arvin Barr (Youngbird) who was added to the group shortly before the album release date of Febuary 21st 2011.Riding on the success of "Hits on the daily" the group began working on its successor "Hits on the daily volume 2".
