Remember Their Lives
Since it's original release in 2001, "REMEMBER THEIR LIVES" has been a favorite among not only Robert Kramer fans, but has warmed the hearts and souls of basset hound lovers and rescue organizations all over the country. This SPECIAL 2004 RE-ISSUE of the 2001 soundtrack album "REMEMBER THEIR LIVES" is a thoughtful and eclectic blend of instrumental and vocal music covering the styles of classical, blues, pop, ballads and humorous folk music. Originally composed to help raise funds for Guardian Angel Basset Rescue, Robert teams up with prolific songwriter and female indie recording artist Valerie Leventhal, with "Little Brown Dog", her bluesy and powerful contribution to the project. He taps into his comedic sensibilities in "Also Sprach Bassethrustra", a musical parody of the famous 2001 Space Odyssey intro which even includes his own basset hound 'Flash' barking in time to the crescendos, with hilarious results. Another selection, titled "The Hunt", can only be described as a sweeping symphonic composition that gives the listener a sense of the original energy and bold spirited basset hound. Upon hearing this track, you can almost picture this noble and graceful animal bounding through medieval forests in search of its prey. The other instrumental tracks continue to demonstrate Kramers wide ranging abilities as a truly unique and special songwriter. A bonus track also included on this CD is "The Voice Of The World", Roberts personal remembrance about the September 11th tragedies. Robert Kramer, musician, composer and performer, continues to produce and independently release his own unique and tantalizing blend of pop, rock, jazz and classical compositions. Listen and enjoy!
