February 20, 2017​ (Jackson, Miss.) - Valentine’s Day was full of treats for SIKA listeners with the release of her new single, “Signs,” featuring hip-hop artist and entertainer, TLo Da Champ. Produced by Hollywood Luck, “Signs” is a laid back, melodic track channeling the early 2000s with a sample of Beyonce’s “Signs” from the 2003 album, Dangerously in Love. “The Beyonce sample was definitely intentional,” SIKA says. “I’m obsessed with Missy Elliott’s production and that is one song from Dangerously in Love that makes it on my playlist to this day. This album is also Beyonce’s introduction as a solo artist, likewise, with myself. Everything has to be aligned with my art.” “Signs” marks the first collaboration between SIKA and TLo Da Champ, one that has been in the works for quite some time. “SIKA and I have always planned on working with one another and it so happened that the timing and chemistry was right,” TLo says. “The inspiration behind my verse was based on relationships I’ve had with different signs and also just how our generation has made horoscopes and readings so popular.” “Signs” is the debut single from SIKA J’s first EP as a solo artist, The Meal Plan. Slated for a Spring 2017 release, The Meal Plan is a mix-up compilation in the form of a three-course meal and is also the official introduction of SIKA as a solo artist. The EP will feature three tracks - an appetizer, entree and dessert - but SIKA isn’t revealing which course “Signs” is just yet.
