Always known as a genre chameleon, DJ Phoenix certainly has incorporated many influences of popular dance music, particularly the progressive house and trance sound found on this album Project Mayhem. Tracks like “Modern Timebomb” and “I Am Jacks Hungry Heart” borrow heavily from the work of Deadmau5, Armin Van Buuren, and Tiesto, with powerful synth pad riffs and mind blowing bass kicks.
