On My Way
In this album I rerelased a few songs from an earlier CD with a lot of new additional songs and brought my ideas to better clarity and presentation. So now I feel very free to let this special CD be available to the public. Later in 2007 I was at a national protest promoted by Bill McKibben to protect the environment and BBC reporters held microphones while I did a live street performance of Big Big Wind. This was used in April 2009 by BBC in a radio documentary : Assignment- Rich in Retreat. My song Big Big Wind made reference to the madness on Wall Street so it fit in with their expose. The songs I write like School Shootin' Blues, Isaacs Storm, Big Big Wind and so on help me feel comfort and hope in an age of accelerating change and insanity. Over time, I would like to elaborate on the origins as they flow through me in their creation. Check in soon for lots more information about this universal creative process. I am getting ready to head off to the east coast via Nashville for the summer. I'm just tapping into the stream of the song of life in its multiforous manifestations. Amidst the mania of human fraility in action there is still so much wonder and brave effort. This is what Jane Goodall talks about now. So my songs deal with nature ,with Fair Trade, with freedom, with relocalization, with green green green. The last two words in Big Big Wind are HOOOLD ON! Reality is more wondrous and beautiful and alive than we can comprehend. So I see possibility. When I first heard the big big wind blowing, I had to write the song. I imagined that wind would go around the world everywhere to every town and shake it up and shake it down. That's happening right now, only we see the dark side of it and I'm asking folks to hold on for the light of nature and love to shine again. Mythologies and Wisdom Traditions from around the world and from ancient times are still alive and we are not yet too far gone to revive with Permaculture, Microbusiness, Relocalization, and Green Living. Smaller is better. This CD is all home made by me and is not an industrial product. Most of the songs have one or two or three or four tracks. That's it. Yeah Boy Howdy, Peas and Care-alots, Daoboy Bob (Yueh Xian)
