Unpunked
by Alex OggWhat the world has held its breath for: classic Vibrators songs done acoustic. It's actually not as bad as it sounds, and some of the group's proto-punk efforts respond well to the new environment. "It gave us the opportunity to have a completely fresh go at the songs," recalled Knox in an interview with Record Collector in 1999. "Some of them are how we would do them normally, only with acoustic guitars, but some are very different." Among the notable departures are the keyboard strains on "Troops of Tomorrow" and the jazz inflections displayed on "Judy Says."
