Charlie and the Rays, fronted by three women, delivers harmony-rich, classic folk rhythm & blues songs accented by punchy horn licks and a unique synthesis of folk and blues guitar and harmonica. The band evolved from sisters Jordan and Rebecca Stobbe, and childhood friend Gracia Bridges busking in the streets of Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington in the summers of their youth. The band incorporates the textures of harmonized, soulful vocals, layered with blues and folk rock progressions and melodies. Uniquely combining guitar, bass, drums, and synthesizer with brass and harmonica, the result is an intoxicating vibe that begs for audience movement and participation.
