Be There With Me
Paradise actually began 18 ½ years ago when God birthed in Kimberly's heart that she should sing whenever her Daddy preached. At 1 ½ years old, Kimmie said, "Daddy, God told me I'm going to sing when you preach." And she did. That Sunday her little black paten leather shoes clicked on the wooden floor all the way to the platform, she then informed her Dad that she didn't need him to hold the mic for her, she took it in her little hands and belted out three songs. When Vic tried to take the mic back she said, "I'm not done." He told her she could sing again another time, and she marched back to her seat, looked at me, (her mom) and said, "Daddy wouldn't let me sing my little birdies song!" Looking back we realize, she wasn't done. Since that time God has gifted her with a love for music and a talent to sing, play the piano and write songs for His glory. She wrote the title song, "Be There with Me", in the eighth grade. One by one she enlisted her sisters to join her, and God also blessed them with beautiful voices. Our son, Kyle, recognized this after listening to their CD for the first time with his parents singing along. He very seriously looked at us and said, "I know God gave the girls their voices, because you guys can't sing." The sad thing is, he wasn't trying to be funny or a wise guy, he was just being brutally honest. The girls have traveled all over this country and Canada with their family. Vic, their dad, is an evangelist, and they travel and sing wherever he preaches. They are very hard workers, as this is not a glamorous life. At times they are called upon to help set up the tent, chairs, sound equipment and all that is required to hold tent revivals, sometimes, into the early morning hours. They all have a great since of humor, and use it often while traveling. At present, Kimberly is in her second year of college. She is majoring in music and has plans to be a music teacher. Katie has plans to begin college in the fall. The rest of the girls are home schooled, which enables us to travel as the Lord opens doors. **************
