Before the Rain
Fed off classic rock from it's sources in Led Zeppelin and Cream, Before the Rain infuses not only these roots, but also more modern adaptations similar to Dave Matthews Band and The Black Keys. These songs flow into one another in a way that takes the listener through many highs and lows. The hidden grief in Citrus King is masked well by it's upbeat feel, while Citrus Queen offers a thin curtain of hope in it's lyrics and an overall feel of despair. The final track, On and On is meant to leave the listener with triumph and reflection of the entire album's message. A message that is free to be interpreted.
