Once four strangers who had always known each other met and discovered they were a band. They called themselves Grace, partly because that was the singer's name, mostly because they made effortlessly beautiful music. While they didn't exactly finish each other's sentences, they did finish each other's songs, creating original pieces that flowed from their mutual inspiration. To be sure, there was rock and folk and funk and jazz and Beatles in it, but it all added up to something powerful and new. Ethan Okamura is a Stratocaster chameleon with a palette of sounds, ranging from spacey to soulful to jingle-jangle cowboy. Jeff Lehman lays down infectious and melodic bass lines, and sings sweet, complex harmonies. Jeremy Colson, on drums(when he's not touring and recording with Steve Vai), composes and executes his parts with power and finesse; no mere rhythm machine, he is an integral part of the sound.
