The Decision

Style comes from within, it's the only thing you can't BUY. You can't find it inside of a pair of Gucci sneakers, or in a Balenciaga t-shirt, you can't purchase it in a sample pack or find it under a bucket hat. Style comes from within our soul and is reflected to the outside world. It's an emotion... and when you're an artist, more often than not it is conveyed through your art. There are few things in this world that bring me pure joy; a good meal shared with friends, sliding under the covers on a cold night, a good book, that first sip of coffee in the morning, but more than anything, the one thing that I enjoy most in life is a really well made original house record. THE DECISION by Kenny Summit gives me that feeling of joy. This latest release from Kenny Summit is a reminder that true style can not be mimicked or imitated, and can sometimes bring overwhelming feelings out of a person. It isn't the most complex house track I've ever heard, matter of fact it's somewhat simplistic in arrangement and doesn't have many parts to it at all. What it does have is STYLE, an abundance of original style. There is an innate beauty to this production, where even the space between notes are magical moments. It's one of those records where you just do not want the track to end... Enjoy listening to THE DECISION over and over and over again. And now for something completely different; FENDER JAZZ ENSEMBLE is fkn weird, and that's just one reason to embrace it. To hell wit cookie cutter house, over used samples, all that same sounding formulaic bull**** takes a back seat to genuine authenticity, and the fact that Kenny even made something this strange and far from center is just ****in awesome. So to recap, here you have THE DECISION and FENDER JAZZ ENSEMBLE, two joints that have little in common yet come from the same brain; one is guaranteed to get real heads bobbing and every DJ in the crowd will come running to the DJ to ask "yo whats the name of that track?" and the latter is just so off kilter it's gonna make
