Still Beneath the Stars and Moon
Minnesota's beloved singer/songwriter duo, Bill & Kate Isles, have delivered a thoroughly entertaining mix of their profound songs along with a couple of delightful covers. They are backed by longtime collaborator, Canadian Fiddle master April Verch, as well as guest appearances by Michael Johnson ("Bluer than Blue"), Laura Hall ("Whose Line Is It, Anyway? TV Show), Emily Pinkerton and Eric Lewis. Their styles range from introspective folk ballads, such as "She Kissed Me In The Morning" to playful spin-off like "Public Radio (A True Story)" to bluegrass "Beautiful Skies" to African in "Mamadu". The album starts off strong, with the full-motion, "Love is Meant to Be", featuring Ms. Verch's amazing fiddle work.
