Should I Know

Jekyll has already had several successful releases on Futureworld, Broken Records and Rusty Records to name a few, and is currently showcasing his tracks at many of the biggest UK hardcore raves. For this release on Totally Ardcore, he teams up with Adrenaline Stompers and Core Fire resident DJ Instigate. Should I Know has a really fresh feel to it with lots of uplifting sounds and melodies. In the first breakdown, the euphoric stabs combine both sharp and flat keys, which sit nicely alongside a simple yet effective piano melody. The track builds up with a single key and repeats the catchy should I know vocal sample, before dropping into the main upfront lead. It then switches back into the piano and vocal samples, and finally drops into the second breakdown. This time there is a real element of suspense created by subtle synths, before the claps kick in and the layers gradually build ready for the powerful drop to explode. This track is the definition of current, and could certainly become a hardcore anthem for the Summer!
