Warrior
Jacob Phono & Jens Bond burn a colorful slash across the evening sky and millions of luminescent insects rain down upon the forest canopy. These enchanted organisms cover the leaves, branches, and vines, and quickly crawl down the trees seemingly preparing the gardens for the arrival of a fabled fighter. Jacob & Jens soon announce the presence of the Warrior-- an apparition of the wilderness that protects the foliage and ensures that the animals will remain safe. This enigmatic being floats above the thickets and casts musical spells on both trespassers and naysayers. The seventh time she saw me. Strange and labored undergarments. Too many dreams and not enough haunts. Elixir traces. Imported penmanship. A builder felt the need to sneeze gusts. Hopeful paintings. The tendency to hang transparent ringlets on the fence. Stingray servitude. Throw yourself over the river's edge and watch the rivalry suddenly sink. Most inlets host bluebird sing-a-longs. Velvet trapeze dangled just out of reach. Shapes of wrath. A maze of lunchboxes. One clue from the playbook. More modes of celebration. Shabby dormitory condemned and asphyxiated. 2015 Tulipa Recordings http://www.tuliparecordings.com Artwork by Justin Chodzko Words by Summer (Brendon Collins)
