Kuukou Records continues a run of armoured Techno tracks with a one-hit punch courtesy of the highly auspicious Malia Nima. Throughout a handful of releases on labels such a Phisica, Ritual and Earthly Delights - Malia Nima has forged a sound which melds minimal sensibilities and sturdy drums in the formation of groove-lead Techno. Here - with 'Blood' - she expands on this framework with the addition of caustic blobs of acid, arresting vocal samples and capacious, reverberated signals. A kick and a sub are pitted against each other as a syncopated gallop sets a rhythmic meter. FX are automated as they subtly swell throughout the development of a bold party track that's guaranteed to do the trick on the floor.
