All the Way to There
by Charlotte DillonCountry singer and songwriter John Berry completed All the Way to There in 2001. With a dozen albums listed to his credit in less than ten years, Berry has had the chance to reach a wide audience and build a stable fan base with huge hits like "Your Love Amazes Me." Since his professional career began there have been many hardships to overcome, including a motorcycle accident and major health problem that caused the resilient country artist to undergo brain surgery and later throat surgery, and then find himself without a label. Somehow, Berry and his music have made it through. This release is a solid recording that carries excellent contemporary country songs like "How Much Do You Love Me," "Settle for Everything," "Let's Find Out," and "He Makes Me Want Her Again." The album was recorded in the basement of Berry's home. He easily proves once again that he has a way with delivering ballads with plenty of heart and soul. Without a major label backing this album it has kind of gone unnoticed, making a hidden treasure that many country fans might have overlooked. That's a shame, since John Berry is a talented singer and songwriter whose music is first-rate.
