Mum (From "Rudy" Soundtrack)
Famous composer / pianist Akira Kosemura will release the original soundtrack of the film Rudy on September 15 on Schole Records. The movie has been directed by Shona Auerbach (also BAFTA-nominated director of Dear Frankie). With Rudy's soundtrack, Akira Kosemura shows the extent of his talent as a composer, the recording includes 31 tracks from short beautiful minimal solo piano pieces to tracks with ambient textures and more orchestrated pieces. As always, the piano plays a central role and the listener is transported by the emotion of the compositions of the internationally acclaimed pianist Akira Kosemura. The love and sorrow of a family, a family that struggles but progresses little by little, is an excellent work that echoes Kosemura's piano music, which continues to gently support the family while containing a touch of sadness. About the movie: Set in the heart of rural England, Rudy finds her relationship with her father being tested. Stuck as a proxy parent to her younger siblings and dealing with a recent loss, she feels increasingly pushed out when her home gets opened up to a paying guest. Through a newfound friendship with a boy from Coventry, she discovers fun, freedom and autonomy, but is it at the sacrifice of unspoken family wounds? RUDY is a poignant insight into love, loss and moving on. Shona Auerbach is a British film director and cinematographer. Her outstanding debut film Dear Frankie was shown at numerous film festivals (including Cannes Films Festival) and the director was nominated at BAFTA. Rudy is her first film in almost 20 years.
