Nebula
DeepStitched is happy to welcome Anthony Mea to the family with his offering in the form of Nubula EP. Fresh from his South African tour with the DeepStitched Nights parties, Anthony brings a solid two track release to the table that fits nicely within the ever growing DeepStitched catalogue. Nebula - Starting off the EP is the title track, Nebula. It is a heavy bomb aching to be dropped at peak times in any set. Heavy kicks and thick hi-hats are the back bone of this monster that definitely set a precedent for what is to come. The drum work throughout Nebula adds a refreshing tambourine, a welcomed calve hit and breaks up the four on the floor beat every now and again. The bass works nicely in tandem with the drums offering a distorted wub effect. The pads grow throughout the track and have that spacey feel that you would expect from the title. Nebula is dark, moody and tells a story that will take the dance floor where no one has gone before. Fragile - On the flipside, Anthony brings you Fragile. A much lighter track for the B-side, but one that should still not go unnoticed. Fragile has a great pad lead introduction which later becomes the main focus of the track throughout. The drums are not as heavy in here, but that still does not mean that you should not take it seriously. Fragile brings a more organic element to the EP adding a male and female vocal stab. They almost feel as if they are communicating in the way Anthony has them set up. Anthony adds little sprinkles of another lead pad to help build a solo voice and round out the track. Fragile will do well to help set the tone for any set it is showcased in. Give it the love it deserves!
