Turn It On
Yoshitoshi's first release of 2013 comes from Austria with a huge remix from John Lagora already getting plays from Paco Osuna & Richie Hawtin. The man behind the release, Phillip Straub explains how this release came to fruition: "Well the story behind this release is a bit weird honestly. I heard the original song from Heath Holme some time ago and my wife really liked it. She always asked me to play it but it did not fit my sets perfectly so I made a remix. I sent the remix to Sharam about 2 years ago and he played it on one of his radio shows and I received great feedback from the listeners. Based off this, Sharam thought we should make a release out of it! Time passed bye and when the release date grew closer I decided to make another remix. John Lagora then accompanied this release with a great remix that Paco Osuna and Richie Hawtin have been playing already!" Here is the story from Sharam on John Lagora "John Lagora's track Maersk was one of my top records of 2012 Miami Conference. I loved it so much that i included it on the Day part of my Night & Day album. Naturally i wanted to get more of his music on Yoshitoshi so we asked him to remix Phillip's record and he made one of the most powerful techno/house hybrid records i've heard in a long time" This package also includes Phillip Straub & Florian Kaltstrom remix accompanying the very funky Original and Dub versions. Cheers!
