Love Jah
by Rosalind Cummings-YeatesAlthough Prince Malachi possesses good vocal skills and Love Jah provides a healthy selection of mellow conscious reggae tracks, there's nothing to make this album stand out from the hundreds of other conscious reggae releases. Weighed down by monotonous rhythms and trite lyrics, all his talk of babylon burning, fighting for your rights and keeping faith in Jah, has all been said before, in more engaging ways. The one refreshing moment is "Mama Don't Fret," where the vocalist sings about taking care of his mother and how much he loves her.
