Do They Know It's Christmas? (2014)

Vocal contributions have come from artists including Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Ellie Goulding, Seal, Sam Smith, Sinéad O'Connor, Rita Ora, Emeli Sandé as well as Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who recorded the opening lines in the 2004 version, U2 frontman Bono, who famously sung the tenth line of the song in both the 1984 and 2004 versions, with Queen drummer Roger Taylor on drums. "Do They Know It's Christmas?" is a song written by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in 1984 to raise money for relief of the 1983–85 famine in Ethiopia. The original version was produced by Midge Ure and released by Band Aid on 28 November 1984.
