Formaldehyde

by Jason DamasTerrorvision's debut LP, Formaldehyde, is a dire exercise in metal that rarely manages to stumble across anything resembling a tune. The band fumbles through much of the tracks, creating a 12-song cycle with only one asset, loudness, as the songs are almost completely lacking in hooks. Only the anthemic "My House" and foreboding "New Policy One" manage to make any real impact, leaving the remaining ten tracks a sorry, lifeless affair. Formaldehyde would in no way indicate what was in the future for this promising British hard rock outfit, making this release essential only for hard-core fans of the band.
