Grant Bowtie
At the ripe age of 16, the San Diego native Grant Bowtie (aka Grant Boutin) is very much on his way. As a young man who refuses to corner himself musically, Grant Bowtie has entered the dance music world with the sole purpose of creating free flowing yet heart-pounding productions that materialize through what he calls ‘fluid trains of thought’. Backtracking to his even more youthful years, Grant Bowtie entered the world of music production at the age of 10 after a neighborhood friend introduced him to FL Studio. Tinkering with a demo version of the software, Grant soon found his calling as a producer. Cracking into the industry however is never easy for any talented artist at 16 years old. After many submissions that fell upon deaf ears of various labels, Boutin was advised by followers on his YouTube to submit to Monstercat. It was this pursuit that provided he and his music the attention it deserved. Very shortly after the A&R department listened to “Reach”, Grant and Monstercat were working together to make the fine tunes of the track. It’s with the confidence as well as traction that Grant Bowtie has gained with Monstercat, that the young musician has found his path as he continues to blossom and experiment with new sounds.
