Houcemate
Way back in 2010 when the young Houcemate couldn't even grow a beard to save his life, he picked up producing for the first time. His very first productions were shameless copies of Deadmau5's classic Progressive House tunes -hence the origin of his name- and later on he tried his hand at Electro House as well. The results were mixed and ultimately he became tired of the genre as a whole. As time progressed and having quit producing like twice already, Houcemate got himself into a newfound love for Hip-Hop and Rap music. Biggie, HOV, Outkast, Three Six Mafia, Juicy J, Schoolboy Q, Gang Starr,Nas, Big K.R.I.T. and countless others became instant favourites for the young producer and soon enough he picked up producing again in 2012 and started making EDM-flavoured Trap and Hip-Hop music. It wasn't long until he got picked up by High Intensity Records, who offerend him his first deal to release his debut EP After Hours. The EP dropped early 2013 and even reached #3 in the Beatport Top 100 Hip-Hop Releases. Not much later got noticed by a lot of promotional YouTube and Soundcloud channels such as All Trap Music, Trapdoor Records, Trap & Bass, All Things Trap, Trapmusic.NET and more. Fast forward another few months when one of Belgium's leading DJ's, Murdock, got in touch with him and opened a world of opportunities for the young lad: being featured on his radio show on Studio Brussels multiple times, letting him play at Belgium's biggest EDM festival Laundry Day and countless other gigs around the country. And that brings us to today...
