Brushfire is a project born out of the talents of singer Ryan Davis and composer Joe Darnell. Youll immediately recognize the smooth delivery and vocal finesse that Ryan is able to deliver on these New American Jazz Standards -all fully orchestrated and rich in instrumentation. This project started back in the Spring of 2011 when Ryan and Joe set out to record a couple of demos. Fourteen songs and almost two years later, it has finally reached completion. From the very start, great care was given to capture a sound that emulates the classic recordings from the days of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, while utilizing a bit of modern day engineering and mastering techniques. Youll find this album a refreshing addition to the music of today. Once the most popular sound heard on radio, played in every jukebox, and danced to in grand ballrooms, the Big Band sound has returned with the "spark, sizzle and flame" of Brushfire.
